On Sunday, July 03, 2022, His Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, took part in the 61st Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS held in Accra.
This Summit was devoted, in particular, to the political, security and economic situation in the sub-region and to the examination of the Reports on the political situation in Mali, Guinea and Burkina Faso as well as on the state of the Community.
This session was marked by the appointment of the President of Guinea-Bissau, His Excellency Mr. Umaru Sissoco EMBALO, as the new President of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS, and the Gambian diplomat, Dr. Omar TOURAY, as the new Chairman of the Commission for the Institution.
