On Friday, June 02, 2023 in Accra, Mr. Kobenan Kouassi ADJOUMANI, Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, leading a delegation composed in particular of H.E. Mr. Assiélou Félix TANON, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire fter the Republic of Ghana, Mr. Alex Pierre ASSANVO, Executive Secretary of the ICCIG and Mr. Brahima Yves KONE, Director General of the Coffee-Cocoa Council, took part in the 4th meeting of the Steering Committee of the Initiative Cocoa Ivory Coast-Ghana (ICCIG).

The Steering Committee which brings together the Ministers of Agriculture of the two (02) countries, the Director General of the Coffee-Cocoa Council of Côte d'Ivoire and the Secretary General of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), discussed among other things the current state of the sector, the progress of their national traceability systems, the next steps in the implementation of the economic pact for sustainable cocoa and in particular on the accessions of Nigeria and Cameroon.

At the end of the meeting, several decisions were made. These include the adoption of the administrative budget, the completion of the new building that will house the headquarters of the Côte D'Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative (ICCIG) in Accra and the securing of producers and commercial circuits. , in particular along the Ivorian and Ghanaian borders from September 20, 2023.
