MEETING OF HIS EXCELLENCY MONSIEUR ALLY COULIBALY, MINISTER OF INTEGRATION AFRICAINE AND IVOIRIANS ABROAD WITH IVORIAN THE DIASPORA IN GHANA

As part of the visit of His Excellency Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to Ghana, on 16 and 17 October 2017, the Ivorian Diaspora including the Côte d’Ivoire Community in Ghana, CIGHA, was met on the evening of Monday, October 16, 2017 by His Excellency Mr. Ally COULIBALY, Minister of African Integration and Ivorian Abroad, representing the President of the Republic.

After the Ivorian national anthem sung in unison, several speeches were delivered, including that of His Excellency Bernard EHUI-KOUTOUA, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to Ghana, Togo and Benin with residence in Accra, by Mr. DIBY Gaston, President of the Community of Ivorians in Ghana (CIGHA) followed by His Excellency Mr. Ally COULIBALY, Minister of African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, representing the President of the Republic.

In his opening address, His Excellency Mr. EHUI-KOUTOUA, in his capacity as Head of Diplomatic Mission in Ghana, expressed his thanks to the Ivorian Community for its massive participation in this meeting.

As for Mr. DIBY Gaston, President of CIGHA, he praised the efforts of the President of the Republic thus promoting a climate of peace between Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.

He went on to outline the concerns that Ivoirians are facing by focusing on housing, the cost of which is becoming higher, as well as the immigration formalities that have become more stringent.
He also discussed the issue of scholarships and the difficulties in integrating expatriates in Ghana.

In turn, His Excellency Mr. Ally COULIBALY, Minister of African Integration and Ivorians Abroad, representing the President of the Republic, indicated that the visit of our President to Ghana was aimed at establishing partnerships in the interest of both countries. He added that all the concerns expressed by the President of the Ivorian Community in Ghana (CIGHA) would be transmitted and taken into account by the Ivorian President.
He has provided advice to Ivoirians by asking them to be ambassadors of their country in every action they take in Ghana, particularly by respect for local institutions and laws.

In addition, His Excellency Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, donated five thousand dollars ($ 5,000) to the Ivorian Diaspora, which was presented by His Excellency the Minister Ally COULIBALY, Minister of African Integration and Ivorians Abroad.
