This Monday, July 26, 2021, HE Mr. Alassane OUATTARA, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, granted an audience to His Excellency Mr. WAMKELE Mene, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Zone (ZLECAF), on a working visit to Abidjan .
Discussions between the two personalities focused on the challenges related to the establishment of the structures of the General Secretariat of ZLECAF as well as the operationalization of the organization.
President Alassane OUATTARA and his host also spoke of the need to accelerate the implementation of the ZLECAF, the single African market, in order to boost intra-African trade and make it an engine of transformation and prosperity for all the African continent.
As part of this working visit scheduled for July 26 to 30, 2021, the Secretary General of ZLECAF will have working sessions with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Diaspora, the Minister of Commerce and Industry, the heads of the private sector, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d'Ivoire, as well as with the Dean of the Group of African Ambassadors accredited to Côte d'Ivoire.
